Domestic Shipping Information

SHIPPING METHODS
Our goal at Conservation Support Systems is to offer you the fastest and least-expensive shipping method available. We use several shipping carriers including United Parcel Service (UPS), Federal Express (Fed-Ex) and the United States Postal Service (USPS). We will automatically select the lowest priced carrier when you submit your order so that you receive the best possible price and delivery time. Orders shipped to APO, FPO and PO Boxes are automatically sent via USPS.

Our preferred method of shipping your materials is utilizing UPS Ground shipped fully insured or USPS Priority Mail for small orders. If faster service is required, you may request your order to be shipped by any of the following methods listed below:

SHIPPING TIME IN TRANSIT
Please note that all shipping transit times, regardless of carrier (with the exception of USPS), do not count the day on which a package is picked up from our facility. Neither does Saturday, Sunday or any National Holiday count as a shipping day. As an example: if a package requires (4) days of shipping time and it is picked up on a Wednesday afternoon, the package will not be delivered until the following Tuesday. Only Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday counts as the actual (4) shipping days. That is providing no National Holidays fall within that time frame. No deliveries take place on weekends or holidays.

ADDITIONAL SHIPPING INFORMATION AND COST FOR UPS AND FEDEX

SHIPPING VIA USPS PRIORITY MAIL
The USPS provides outstanding 2-3 day service from coast-to-coast. We use this service for most of our smaller shipments. The cost and delivery time is unsurpassed. Unlike UPS and FedEx, USPS Priority Mail has NO additional surcharges for residential and rural deliveries. Most orders shipped on a Friday via USPS are delivered on the following Monday as far away as New York and Florida for only $5.00 to $12.00. We use Priority Mail exclusively for all shipments to APO/FPO and P.O. Boxes. No aerosol containers or potentially hazardous materials may be shipped via USPS. We ship well over a thousand packages a year with Priority Mail and have a superior track record with the Post Office.

SHIPPING CHARGES AND ESTIMATES
We have no minimum or set shipping charges. We only charge actual shipping costs. Unless otherwise informed ahead of time, we don’t charge any handling fees. Shipping estimates are just that, an estimate. We do our best to quote as close to the actual charges as possible. All quotes and order conformations have only estimated shipping charges not actual shipping cost. For most orders, until an order is actually packaged for shipment we can only estimate shipping cost. On the final invoice you will be charged the actual cost of shipping. If the exact amount for shipping cost is needed ahead of time for a quote, we will provide one.

For all information regarding Hazardous Materials shipping please refer to the Hazardous Materials section on this tab.

WINTER SHIPMENTS
All materials shipped during the winter months are subject to freezing conditions during transit. Some materials such as water based products are especially subject to freezing. Once frozen, many products may become unusable. Products that are sensitive to freezing can usually be shipped via UPS Next Day with much less chance of freezing.

DAMAGED SHIPMENTS

If you see any damage at the time of receipt of goods, make note of damage on shippers receipt. If you believe a package received from us was damaged in transit, please refuse shipment and tell the carrier that you are refusing delivery because the package is damaged. Notify the carrier immediately of any concealed damage upon opening. Then call Conservation Support Systems to inform us of the situation. If you are not present at the time of delivery and cannot refuse shipment, please call our Customer Service to make arrangements to return the damaged order.
