CSS Regalrez Varnish is a UV stable reversible varnish comprised of Regalrez 1094 (35% solids) dissolved in a low-aromatic solvent. Tinuvin 292 is added as a UV absorber. Regalrez resin based varnishes produce a very glossy finish. We offer both a Satin and Matte version in which a micronized silica gel has been added to produce a varnish with less gloss. Regalrez based varnishes are not recommended when a true matte finish is needed. If this varnish is being applied by brush, it is not recommended to apply multiple coats. Applying additional coats will disturb previous layers. Spraying is the preferred method of application when multiple coats are needed. If needed, the varnish can be removed with most any of the low aromatic solvents, such as Shell D-38.
