Trim Sealing Iron
The same company that makes the 21st Century Tacking Iron makes our Trim Sealing Iron. The Trim Sealing Iron has a precisely controlled temperature range from 105° to 305°F via a sliding switch mounted on the handle. A red LED shows the tool is "on", and intensifies with a higher temperature selection. This tool has a 9-foot cord and comes with a protective safety stand. Two special-purpose tips are included: a deep, rounded tip for fillets and curves, and a thin, flat, narrow tip for hinge gaps, flat areas and tight corners. The tips which measure 1/2" x 1-1/2" are finshed with blackstone covering for incredibly smooth control and perfect finishes.
Keep in mind that all tacking irons are made for use in the hobby/model and photographic fields. Conservation usage is much harder on a tacking iron than what they were originally designed to be used. Therefore, the life expectancy of the tacking iron, the handle mount and the Teflon coating on the shoe, will depend upon how it is used in your laboratory.
